How Much Will it Cost to Sell

Whether you are downsizing, upsizing, or relocating, your budget will be contingent on how much you sell your property for, and what fees you are charged to sell your property.

Burlington Property is highly sensitive to these factors, and we believe we can have an enormous influence on your budgeting outcome. If you are new to the market, you will have noticed selling costs vary enormously between agents.

At Burlington Property, we have considered the overall costs, and after 30 plus years of dealing with the various contractors involved in preparing a property for sale, we have found the people of the highest caliber and agreed on excellent prices.

So, what does each element of a sale cost?

Professional Photography

We only use the best photographers available. For a daytime shoot of your property expect to pay between $250 and $350. For a dusk shoot, to highlight your property as the sun goes down and lights come on, expect to pay $400 to $550.

Property Video

This part of the home presentation has developed into an art in recent years, and is a powerful part of the sales process, especially for interstate and overseas buyers. Expect to pay $300 to $600 for a well-produced video.

Floor Plan

Preparation Floor plans are an important part of engaging with prospective buyers. There are various sizes of floor plans depending on the size of your property but expect to pay between $130 and $250.

Copywriting

Copywriting is one of the main disciplines any agent must have to showcase your property effectively. While this is often outsourced to external and overseas companies, at Burlington Property we pride ourselves on writing a description of your property that is based on our knowledge and understanding of every part of your property, the location, and the lifestyle it offers. There is no additional cost for copywriting.

Auctioneers Fees

While the common trend is to employ external contract auctioneers, at Burlington Property we use in-house auctioneers. We feel it is a crucial element of the sale process that an auctioneer has an engagement with the property and the potential buyers, something that takes time to develop.

There is no charge for in-house auctioneers.

Selling Fees

Once again, selling fees vary from agent to agent. At Burlington Property our senior salespeople make a 100% commitment to the management and sale of your property. We do not list a property and then hand it to an assistant. Our selling fees are the most competitive you will find. We like to look at each property individually and will then give you a firm fee for our services, whether as a fixed fee or a percentage.

Conveyancing Costs

Expect to pay between $600 and $1200 for conveyancing. While we have no direct involvement with solicitors or conveyancers, we can pass on names we have dealt with previously.
